Juan Lee Library Director 435-654-1511 ext 4931 |
I began working in libraries many moons ago, checking in books while listening to reggae music. Nowadays, I am one of the Library administrators, which means enjoying paperwork every day, but I enjoy even more the opportunity to say “Hello” as folks come to the library. I am an audiobook “reader” and greatly appreciate the feature to speed up the narration so I can get to my next read faster. However, there are some performances that I just have to listen at normal speed and revel in the beauty of the language. Some stories I've really liked include: Anxious people by Fredrik Backman The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein Thunder Dog by Michael Hingson One of my all-time favorites Fear Nothing by Dean Koontz – truth is, there are many Dean Koontz stories I enjoy. |
Angela Edwards Assistant Director 435-654-1511 ext 4932 |
I have worked with the library since October 2021 and prior to that I worked in a small library for 16 years where I learned that service to teens is what I love the most! I work with volunteers and find joy in helping patrons! I like a great audiobook narrator and love to read anything with a great opening line which leads to many young adult books! My recommended reads: I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich We Were Liars by E. Lockhart The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern |

Andrew Fellows Library Specialist - Cataloging |
I started working part-time here at the Wasatch County Library in February of 2023, but moved to full-time in December of 2024. Now my days are split between the front desk and working behind the scenes to catalog and prepare new books for the shelves! Before starting here at the library, I was working towards a master’s degree in comparative literature while working on and off as a substitute teacher on the side. Reading, literature, and libraries have always been an important part of my life, so I’m very glad for the opportunity to be here and work with books every day! When I’m not at work, there’s a good chance I’ll be on a long walk and listening to a really long audiobook. I also love to travel, hike, watch movies, and play the occasional video game. You can see some of my recommendations at Andrew's Favorite Books and Andrew's Favorite Movies |

Hello! I’m a lifelong resident of the beautiful and ever-changing Heber City. When I’m not relaxing at home with my husband and our fur baby, Beau, I enjoy playing board games, reading thrillers, watching good musicals, or listening to Dolly Parton while working on a new macramé project. You can also find me exploring the outdoors; I love camping, discovering southern Utah, soaking in hot springs, and attending all kinds of festivals. I’m always up for new adventures! I highly recommend any audio book by Ruth Ware, if you enjoy thrillers and audio books narrated by talented narrators |

Kristi Weight Library Aide |
I have worked for Wasatch County library for 29 years. Before coming to the library, I was an IT Data Administrator for a large insurance company. My IT background has served the library well throughout the years. I was instrumental in the initial automation of the Wasatch County Library & all subsequent upgrades, as well as new systems. The Library Director asked me to write the initial automation grants for our library. We met with vendors & when there was a huge conversion problem with our 1st system, I was asked to individually catalog thousands of records that did not convert for various reasons. I am a great teacher, writer & storyteller. I have a degree in History, Science and Recreation with a teaching certificate. For 17 years, another teacher & I gave middle school children a two-week summer science experience where we traveled to, adventured, studied & explored the mountains of Utah from Spanish Fork to the High Uintahs. I love using my teaching, science fun & adventure skills to help any children I meet. I love volunteering! Fun fact: I have traveled the world & wherever I go, I always go to the local library to get new ideas & see what they are doing well. |

Shauna Spencer Customer Service Interlibrary Loan 435-654-1511 ext 4938 |
Working for the Wasatch County Library since 2018 has been my favorite job. I love my wonderful co-workers, the awesome patrons and the smell of a good book! I learned to speak Spanish in Madrid Spain while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My main focus here at the library is helping patrons at the front desk, processing the Inter-Library Loans (books borrowed from other libraries), teaching kids craft classes, recovering books & helping with Spanish Storytime. In my spare time I love to listen to audio books narrated with British accents, walking my dogs, and spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter. My preferred genre to read or listen to are clean historical or regency fiction. Some of my favorite clean romance recommendations are: The Kiss of a Stranger by Sarah M. Eden Promises and Primroses by Josi S. Kilpack Untethered by Marcia Lynn McClure |

I have worked at the Wasatch County Library for 6 years and have loved every minute! I help patrons find what they need, I oversee the board games and puzzles collection, and I run the Oasis program - delivering books and other library materials to those who can't make it in to the library. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to bring the Library to everyone in the county, whether or not they are able to come to our building and browse. I am an avid collector of jigsaw puzzles, including the one hanging in the library by the Graphic Novel section. I also collect anything to do with The Muppets, Scooby Doo, and Dr. Seuss. But most importantly, I love a good story! (Especially if it involves old Victorian houses, or abandoned buildings!) A few of my favorite books: From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg The Five Nights at Freddy's Series by Scott Cawthon The Only One Left by Riley Sager The House at Riverton by Kate Morton |

diane carlile Senior Library Cataloger 435-654-1511 ext 4936 |
I have worked with Wasatch County Library for 40 years. I build the library collection by selecting items to purchase, enter them in the catalog, and prepare them for the shelf. The best part about my job is connecting with so many people and wearing a wonderful new scent to work! I love holding a new book, being the first one to open it, and smell it! My favorite genres to read are Young Adult Fantasy, LDS Fantasy, and audiobooks with great narrators! My Recommendations: Sherwood by Meagan Spooner The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman Kiss of the Spindle by Nancy Allen Campbell Old Kingdom Series by Garth Nix |
Wasatch County Library's History
The historic former Heber City Library was constructed as a federal Public Works Administration (PWA) project during the latter years of the Great Depression at 188 S Main Street, Heber City UT 84032. Construction occurred between Aug. 1938 and May 1939. The PWA supplied a grant of $13,275 toward the project, whose total cost was $27,529. The building served as the community’s library until construction of the new Wasatch County Library completed in 2004. The New Deal facility now houses the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum.
